UAW Localp 249 said the slight increasein month-to-montuh sales enabled Ford (NYSE: F) to cancekl the scheduled down week on June 22 at its F-150 truc k plant in Dearborn, Mich.
, but the down week was left intacft at the Kansas City Assembly Plant. “This is partially due to depleted fundse forthe state’s Division of Unemployment in Michigan, making down weekss at (Dearborn) less of an option,” the Local 249 said in the newsletter. Local 249 addedf that sales projections continue to be less than the five shiftsw at the two truck plants can produce if they work full time througg the 2010 production Ford runs two shifts at Claycomo and threwein Dearborn.
