The 56-bed hospital is a partnership betweenand . The hospitao -- named Ty Cobb Regional MedicaklCenter -- will replace two hospitals operates by Ty Cobb Healthcare, Cobb Memorial Hospital in Roystonb and Hart County Hospitalo in Hartwell. The hospital, expected to open in will be builton 40-acres of undeveloped land on Cleaf Creek Road near Interstate 85. “We’ve got a combined population of [about] 45,000 trying to support two hospitals, and not surprisingl y they’re both facing economic challenges,” said Chuck Adams, CEO at Ty Cobb “By putting together this partnershi p withleading cardiologists, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, gastroenterologists and we’ve created a critical mass that will greatlyu enhance both the quality of healty care and the economic vitality of the communities we The hospital will be managed and operated by Ty Cobb Healthcare System’s new operating company, Ty Cobb Regional Medicalp Center LLC.
