Canary Foundation is pledging $15 million toward the doubling its earlier commitment to supporgt early detection research atthe university. The medical school, together with the school's Department of is committing $5 million through faculty research facilities, and other infrastructure. The center will be led by Dr. Sanjivb Sam Gambhir and will include new faculty hires in both ex vivo and in vivo The center is located in a newl y renovated School of Medicine buildint on California Avenue in Palo Alto and it will have strony ties to the NationalCanceer Institute-designated Stanford Cancer Center with a view towardd translating the early detection research into clinicao practice.
Canary Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to the goal of identifyingb cancer early through a simple blood test and then isolating it with Since 2004, Canary has raised over $30 milliobn to support early detection
